Indoor TETRA radio coverage in special areas

Today it is frequently a requirement that buildings and structures, where the public has access, offer sufficient coverage by radio signals from the SINE network to enable the emergency services to operate. Such confined areas include for instance tunnels, shopping centres, hospitals, indoor car parks and basements in public as well as major private buildings and structures.

The coverage may be established using repeaters or MTSes (Motorola Transmission Stations), depending on the location and network parameters in the area. The active radio equipment in special areas are monitored, like the SINE network is in general, from DBK’s Network Management Centre (NMC).
